Apex boys volleyball club

Apex Boys Volleyball club was started because of two things:

- a passion to teach this amazing sport to young men in Middle TN

- families in our community looking for opportunities for their young men to learn, play and compete!

Im thrilled to have been able to start this club from the ground up and to already see some of our graduates offered opportunities to play in College.

At Apex Boys Volleyball we see the impact that sport can make in kids lives and we want to use that impact to help them develop their character and leadership abilities while also helping them in their volleyball skills. 

I look forward to continue helping our athletes develop and grow!

YEAR 3 WITH APEX BOYS VOLLEYBALL

I LIVE IN SPRING HILL WITH MY HUSBAND AND TWO TINY HUMANS AND OVERSEE DIGITAL MARKETING FOR A HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION. 

GROWING UP, I WAS A MULTI-SPORT ATHLETE, PICKING UP VOLLEYBALL LATER IN MY CAREER. 

I PLAYED FOUR YEARS OF DIVISION 1 VOLLEYBALL, EARNING MULTIPLE CONFERENCE ACCOLADES, INCLUDING FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR AND 1ST/2ND TEAM ALL CONFERENCE RECOGNITION.

ALTHOUGH I'VE PLAYED EVERY POSITION, MY PRIMARY ROLE WAS AS AN OUTSIDE HITTER. 

WITH OVER 25 YEARS OF PLAYING EXPERIENCE AND 20 YEARS OF COACHING, I HAVE HELPED GUIDE STUDENT-ATHLETES AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND COLLEGIATE LEVELS.

I AM MOST EXCITED ABOUT RETURNING TO COACH WITH APEX BECAUSE...

Hi, my name is Stephan and I am from Columbia, Tennessee. I started playing volleyball at Tennessee Tech on the club team in 2015 for my undergraduate career. During my graduate year I played on Cumberland’s inaugural men’s volleyball team in 2018. Then moved to a volunteer coach for the men’s team for a total of 4 years. Other coaching experience comes from helping around the Nashville area with camps and different clubs. I currently am a member of the VLA team known as the NashVillians and I play in different tournaments in the immediate area and surrounding states. Volleyball has provided me so many great opportunities and some of my best friends. I am most looking forward to spreading my love for the sport of volleyball and helping players that are wanting to grow and get better in a sport

Hello! My name is Kalie Printz and I’m thrilled to join the Apex coaching team this season. I’m originally from the Chicagoland area, but we have lived in Middle Tennessee for the past 11 years. My husband and I have 5 children and I’ve worked in bilingual education, for a foster care non-profit and I currently own a food truck!

I started playing volleyball as a middle schooler and played in high school and also in college. I played Division III at Gordon College near Boston, Massachusetts. I have been playing volleyball for over 25 years and I have been coaching volleyball for the past 6 years. While I enjoy coaching every aspect of the game, I love to coach setters as that was my primary position while I played.

I appreciate that at Apex, the focus is on building young men of character through the sport of volleyball. Volleyball has been such an important part of my life and I can’t wait to share my love of the game with our Apex players.
